Bangladesh High Commission in London Call for Write-ups to Commemorate the July Uprising

Desk Report: The Bangladesh High Commission in London invites write-ups from Bangladeshis—both residing in the UK and in Bangladesh—to commemorate the historic July Uprising. This is a meaningful opportunity to reflect on a pivotal moment in our nation's history and to honour the sacrifices made in the struggle for justice and democracy.

Contributors are encouraged to share personal experiences, such as:

Participation in the protests during the uprising

First-hand accounts or reflections on the atrocities committed by the previous regime

Aspirations for the future of Bangladesh

Submissions should not exceed 500 words and must be emailed to pressm@bhclondon.org.uk by 20 June 2025.

The High Commission will select 15 write-ups for publication in a printed edition and aims to include as many submissions as possible in a digital version.
