Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh calls on Land Minister
Pranay Verma described the land service digitalization of Bangladesh as a great achievement
Staff Reporter: Indian High commissioner to Bangladesh Pranay Verma paid a courtesy call on the land minister Narayon Chandra Chanda today Thursday at minister’s office at the secretariat. Land Secretary Md Khalilur Rahman was present at the time.
Land Minister expressed his strong optimism on the strengthening of the strategic, commercial, and global partnerships between the two countries while lauding the various initiatives taken by the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Land Minister apprised the High Commissioner about the smart land management programs of Bangladesh.
High Commissioner Pranay Verma lauded Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's strong leadership in the rapid industrialization and development of Bangladesh. The High Commissioner said, Bangladesh-India are two friendly-countries. Terming the digitalization of land services in Bangladesh as a great achievement, he said service digitalization empowers people and increases transparency of government initiatives as it reduces the exploitation of middlemen to a great extent.
Among others, Additional Secretary (Development) of the Ministry of Land Ziauddin Ahmed and officials of the Ministry of Land and Indian High Commission were present.
