Pakistan to grant Bangladeshis visas within 24 hours: High Commissioner
Desk Report: Pakistan is committed to strengthening economic, business, and cultural ties with Bangladesh, says High Commissioner Syed Ahmed Maroof.
Pakistan’s high commissioner to Bangladesh, Syed Ahmed Maroof on Wednesday assured that Bangladeshis wishing to travel to Pakistan for purposes beyond business would be granted visas within 24 hours of application.
He further mentioned that steps are being taken to officially simplify the visa issuance process within the next month.
The high commissioner made these statements as the chief guest at a discussion meeting with the leaders of the Rangpur Chamber of Commerce and Industries, held at the Chamber building in Rangpur city.
Additionally, he announced that tax-free facilities will be provided for the export of goods from Pakistan to Bangladesh within this year.
He said that discussions between the two countries are ongoing, and necessary measures will be taken within the next month.
The high commissioner expressed his delight at visiting Rangpur after many years, recognizing it as a region rich in various aspects.
He emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening economic, business, and cultural ties with Bangladesh, saying that his government is actively working toward this goal.
